Aquarians have a very independent nature and tend to very much march to the beat of their own drum. They should not be restricted as their independence is essential to their well being.
At times, Aquarians can be quite unemotional and detatched, but underneath it all is a good friend, who will go out of their way to help others. Laughing is high on the agenda, as they possess a witty humour, which is loved by their many friends. They will go out of their way to cheer people up and make them feel good, but will not expect anything in return, as this might damper their freedom, and so give with "no strings attached". An Aquarian friend makes light fun, and their company is often sought, as they can be unconventional and full of excitement, always bringing it with them, full of spontaneity, you never know what you're in for!
As Aquarians have a naturally amazing connection with people, they can make exceptional politicians social works or psychologists. Always forming new ideologies and theories, they are progressive thinkers, and love doing research, whether it be for business or pleasure. Their attention to detail can sometimes be their downfall, getting bogged down in unnecessary detail. They love grand ideas and massive plans, often making them happen. If they are stuck with mundane and repetitive tasks, restricting their plans, they tend to procrastinate. Aquarians need a secretary!
Aquarians can be rebellious, just to get their own way. Their own stubbornness can be the cause of their failure – sometimes continuing to do something their own way, even though others have proved them wrong!. They tend to hold a fixed opinion, and can be stubborn when confronted. Despite this, they will never impose their opinions and ideas on others, respectful of everybody's differences.

The can be above emotion all together, and when they speak, they speak the truth. This can often lead to hurt feelings of others, as what they say can be shocking or painful, disregarding others emotions. It is not that Aquarius are unemotional, they just to not trust their emotions so they incorporate them into their ideas of who they are. As a result, if someone does not agree with their ideas, Aquarians take it personally, They can sometimes feel they are missing out on an aspect of life as they do not feel how others feel. Those in a relationship with Aquarius can notice an air of detachment. Aquarians want to be appreciated, and have others notice them which is caused by underlying insecurities that wonder if other people accept them for who they are but these are never brought to the surface because to an Aquarius, it does not matter that much because they know that they are special.
Aquarians like to follow their own path, and deviate from the crowd. They are visionaries, and hold an intellectual independence. Always interested in the opposite ends of the spectrum, they savoir solitude but thrive as social butterflies. To an Aquarian, everyone is free to be themselves, allowed individual opinions. Conventional people should beware, Aquarians tend to shock and deviate from the norm, and are known to pick at anyone they find weak or dull-minded.
